How To Take Action Now And Fail Fast!

“You must set big enough goals to get enough leverage on yourself to motivate you to take immediate massive action!”

Think Big Goals And Take Bigger Action

Hey, guys. This is Matt with Operation Awesome Life. I want to continue on with this video where I left off with my last post about Fail Fast and talk more about taking massive action. In the last post/video I talked about taking massive action but I went off into how you need to fail fast. So for this blog post I want to really focus on the goal side of how to actually get yourself to take massive action. We know that you need to fail fast. You need to just go at your goal as hard as possible, as quick as possible, and know that the sooner you fail the sooner you’re going to succeed.  But how do we set our goals to get leverage on ourselves to take massive action in the first place?

Set Goals That Scare You Into Taking Massive Action

How do we set goals that will get us to take massive action?  With setting goals what has always helped me the most is setting a goal that is big, and by big, I mean a big goal. If your goal was that you want to try to get ten clients today, up that goal. Set a goal that’s crazy huge but that you could get done. Instead of saying ten say I want to get thirty because that sets your mind into a higher level of process. It sets your mind into a resourceful state where you have to come up with ideas on how you can really go crazy and ramp this thing up.

Your mind will automatically start asking you, “How in the world can I get thirty done?” Then, what that does is it starts putting your mind in motion of how resourceful you’re going to have to be for the rest of the day to actually hit that goal of thirty new clients.

A Goal Without Fast Action Is Just A Dream

If you’re going to set this goal it’s not enough, right, because goal setting is just a dream unless you actually take some action. The next thing is, as soon as you make that goal and that goal scares you a little bit, that’s when you know the goal’s right. Now immediately take action! Take action right away!!

“You’ll Only Achieve Success by Taking Massive Levels of Action” – Grant Cardone

Don’t put anything off. Don’t say, “Oh, I have to make sure that this is done first or that’s done.” Get immediately right into the activity and just start cranking it out. You start early in the morning, you start cranking it out, you’ll be surprised how much you can get done, how resourceful you can be.

Get Leverage On Yourself By Setting A Big Enough Goal

Have you ever noticed that when you have a limited amount of time you can still get the same amount of work done that you can in a larger time space?  It doesn’t seem to matter. You seem to get the same amount done in the time even though you have much less time to work with. The reason for that is your goal isn’t high enough. If we don’t have enough pressure on ourself, enough leverage on ourself, then it’s hard for us to get ourself resourceful and in the right state to really take that action.

“If you really want to take some serious action, you’re really serious about hitting your goals, make sure the goal’s a little bigger than you’re comfortable with. Then, right away, take serious action!”

Do not put it off for even one minute. Just get right into it. Start cranking stuff out. Start hammering away at it. Before you know you’re going to start getting some progress. Then that’s going to help motivate you even further. You’re going to go, “Man, I might actually really hit this goal.” That will motivate you.

Then when you hit that goal, guess what? Now you hit a humongous goal. You’re going into the next day feeling successful already. Now on this next day you have even more momentum.

I hope this was helpful for you guys. Please comment and let us know what you think!
