Take Responsibility For Your Life – You Vs. You Motivation!

Hey, it’s Matt, with operationawesomelife.com. Today’s video topic is “Take Responsibility for Your Life – You Vs. You Motivation”.

[Video Transcript] Let’s get right into it. I’m super excited to share what I have to with you guys today about this topic. I think it’s really important for us to take responsibility, in our lives, for everything that we do.

I want to start off by saying, this isn’t always going to be easy. This isn’t going to be the easiest thing to hear or the easiest thing to implement.  But it’s crucially important that we take full responsibility for everything in our lives, whether it’s good, or bad, whether it’s a success or failure. Whatever it may be, we have to take full responsibility.

Why Should I Take Responsibility For My Life?

You might be asking, “Why do I need to take full responsibility? What if someone did something that really wasn’t good to me? What if I lost my job?” Or “What if my business isn’t going well and some bad circumstances came into my business, my life, or my relationship?”.  “What if things look like they’re not my fault? What if they look like they’re coming from somewhere else? That can’t be my fault.”

You know what, you might have some valid points. It might be true. It might not be your fault, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take full responsibility for it.

Here’s why.  Until you take that responsibility, you give up the control to, that person, circumstance, or whatever it is that is causing you pain in your life.  By doing this you are allowing yourself to tell the story that, “I can’t be successful in my relationship,” “I can’t be successful with my fitness,” with my business, with my career, or whatever it is until the circumstance gets better.

As long as you take that outlook, as long as you give the power up, as long as you don’t take the power by taking responsibility, then you are going to be losing.  I know you don’t want to do that.  None of us do. That’s why it’s so important that you take that responsibility, even if it isn’t your fault.

I just encourage you to take responsibility and say, “I take responsibility for this circumstance. I’m going to change this circumstance, and because I take full responsibility for the failure or the trouble I’m going through right now, and because I’m willing to take on that responsibility, I’m giving myself control of the situation.” That’s more important than blaming someone else or some circumstance for where you currently are.

Take Control Of Your Life And Get Your Power Back

If you can take back that power, and if you can wholeheartedly take full responsibility, I think what you’re going to notice is that now you have taken the most precious asset back. You have taken your power back!

And now that you’re taking full responsibility, you are able to look into your life, and you’re able to say, “Every little thing that I do, not only do I take responsibility for, but everything that I do, is going to result in an outcome.

Whether it’s a successful outcome or an unsuccessful outcome, whatever I do, I create my life. I’m creating success and positivity. I’m bringing in good things into my life because I take responsibility.”

The more you do this, the more you’re going to start noticing that results never lie. The results you’re getting right now are directly attributed to whatever you’ve been working on, whatever you’ve been focusing on, or whatever you have put all of your energy into over the last three months, six months, one year, five years, or longer.

Focus On Yourself Not Others

What you focus on, and what you put energy into, is also going to bring energy back into your life. If you take responsibility, you’re going to realize that, “If I take action right now, and I do the things right now, in my life, that are important, if I step up to the plate and I quit blaming circumstances or people, and I start owning up to every facet of my life, I’m going to start noticing ways I can improve.”

When you start noticing those ways that you can improve, you’re going to improve, because when you notice something needs improvement, it’s human nature to improve that situation or circumstance.  You’re going to improve it because you’re paying attention to it, where before, you were giving it a blanket reason for why it wasn’t working, by blaming others and circumstances.

But now, since you own it all, you’re focusing on everything that you do. You’re focusing on every action that you take in your life. You’re focusing on every result you’re getting in your life. Because you’re focusing on all those things, it’s going to be easy for you to understand what it is that you need to work on and what you need to improve.

Final Thoughts On Taking Responsibility For Your Life

I really think that, in the end, even though it may be a little difficult at the beginning, taking this responsibility is going to truly enhance your life.  By having the courage to do this, you dramatically increase your chances of winning the battle of “You Vs. You” and take down negative you.

Ultimately doing this, you will take back your personal power and become a new person, inside and out. By taking responsibility you’re going to start seeing the stats on your results sheet go in your favor.
